What comes to your mind when you hear the term ‘inner child?

Your inner child is the part of your personality that still reacts and feels like a child. Have you ever wondered why at times you crave for some experiences you had as a child and also at times you don’t want to remember some things that happened in your childhood? This is because in ever grown up individual there is a child in him/her.

The inner child in a certain percentage plays a role in our making for it is in our childhood that we learnt how to speak(the language to use), how to behave(the actions we take), and how to feel(the emotions and how to express them).In the olden days we spoke, acted, felt, and made decisions according to our upbringing. We never got the opportunity to express our emotions, the opportunity to express our freedom and these results to the wounds which can last for a lifetime

.In one point in life we get to connect to this child but there’s a challenge that comes with it which is to know, accept, and connect with that part of your personality. This can be as a result of traumatic experiences that we encountered. But the question is until when will we continue avoiding this part of us? Come to terms with your inner child and make peace with that child speak to him/her as you would to a child.
